Diane Hager Chief Flight Instructor
With her extensive military and commercial aviation background, Diane brings a wide variety of experience to the job of Chief Flight Instructor position. Since 1994, she has served as an air carrier pilot, Air Force officer and crewmember, and professional flight instructor. Diane has accumulated nearly 4,000 hours of flight time in several different types of aircraft. She is also president of the Woman in Aviation’s San Diego Chapter.

Bruce Morey Assistant Chief Instructor
Bruce Morey has dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to aviation. He is a retired Air Traffic Controller and an Air Force Veteran. Bruce has been a professional flight instructor for over five years and has accumulated over 1,500 hours of instructing time. He is co-author of two aerobatic training manuals and helped design several unique training courses. Bruce is a former Chief Flight Instructor, a position he left in 2008 to pursue an airline career. He is currently an airline captain for a west coast-based regional airline.

Brian Sitcer Master Certified Flight Instructor
Gold Seal Flight Instructor
Brian has been a professional flight instructor for over ten years and has logged over 3,500 hours of instructing time in thirty-two different aircraft types. Having authored two aerobatic training manuals, Brian has developed cutting-edge training programs and written extensively on the subject. In addition to aerobatic flight instructing, Brian is serves as a captain and simulator instructor for a west coast-based regional airline.

Josh Schmidt Gold Seal Flight Instructor
Josh has been active in aviation since he was eight years old. He has accumulated nearly 4,000 hours of flight time and is the senior-most flight instructor at Grey Eagle Flight Academy. Josh teaches in the airplanes as well as in the classroom, serving as the primary ground school instructor teaching the private and instrument curriculum. In addition to his arduous teaching schedule, Josh remains qualified as charter and air taxi pilot.

Caleb Foster  
Originally a student at Grey Eagle Flight Academy, Caleb returned in 2009 as a flight instructor. His primary role has been developing and implementing the school’s new international training program. Caleb was chosen for this role because of his prior experience working with foreign students at other schools. Like most instructors at Grey Eagle Flight Academy, Caleb is qualified as a charter and air taxi pilot. Before becoming a professional pilot, Caleb worked with the United States Marine Corps teaching aircrews emergency survival techniques.

Kam Shelhoup  
Kam is the most seasoned flight instructor at Grey Eagle Flight Academy. He began flight instructing in the 1970s and has been doing it consistently ever since. He has worked for a number of different schools during his tenure as a flight instructor, serving as Chief Flight Instructor for many of them. Kam has amassed over 10,000 hours of flight time, most while serving as a flight instructor. In addition to instructing, Kam is a small business owner and an Orange County Deputy Sheriff.

Mike Fisher  
For over 30 years, Mike has worked as an electrical engineer on a wide variety of civilian and military projects and holds advanced degrees in the field. He started flying as a hobby but turned it into a profession in 2006. Mike has nearly 1,500 hours of flight time, most of which has been accumulated giving instruction to students.
