Grey Eagle Flight Academy's Location
The flight school is based at Carlsbad's McClellan-Palomar Airport located in San Diego's North County. This tower controlled airfield provides Grey Eagle students the training environment that helps develop confidence and professionalism necessary for today's private and commercial pilots. Our students have access to numerous local airports and practice areas, reducing both flight time and cost.
How long will it take?
The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours; however, the national average is 55 hours. Grey Eagle Students average 51 hours to receive their Private Pilot Certificate. Statistics indicate that the average student pilot will complete the requirements in four to six months.
What kinds of aircraft are used?

Grey Eagle Flight Academy uses Cessna 152's and 172's for private and instrument training.
